The presentation of a new handbook on media linguistics prepared under the guidance of professor Lilia Duskaeva was held at St. Petersburg State University within the framework of the international scientific conference "Strategic communications in business and politics".

The first in Russia handbook on media linguistics reflects the four directions of media linguistics: media speech criticism, media speech grammar, media stylistics and media linguistic discoursology. The handbook organizes and systematizes the existing media linguistic ideas in the research literature, for the first time presents the debatable issues of media linguistics. The handbook is characterized by speech orientation, which is relevant for modern linguistics.
