ISSN 2312-0274 (print), ISSN 2312-9263 (online)
A new international scientific journal “Media Linguistics” is published by the Saint-Petersburg state University since 2014. The creation of such a journal under the direction of Professor L.R.Duskaeva was in the plans of the Media Linguistics Commission accredited at the International Congress of Slavists. The journal founded by the Higher School of Journalism and Mass Communication Institute is created on the basis of the "Media Linguistics – The XXI Century" website and thematic collections of scientific materials and articles gathered in the “Media Linguistics” series (St. Petersburg, 2013-2014).
The new journal's mission is to provide an adequate reflection of the state of modern media linguistics as a branch of linguistics and to give a comprehensive coverage of the most interesting and significant scientific approaches to media speech studies. The editorial Board is interested in publishing articles devoted to general theoretical problems of functioning of language means in the media, media speech typology, comparative studies and other topics of current importance. Here you can download the PUBLICATIONS FORMATTING STANDARD FOR THE "MEDIA LINGUISTICS" INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL. Articles are accepted in Russian or English languages. All submitted manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review: each manuscript is assessed by two external academic peers, competent in the subject area to which the article is related; anonymity is provided for both authors and reviewers. The editorial Board cooperates with experts from Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine.
The journal, which has two versions – a print version and a full-text online (PDF) version – is registered in the Russian Scientific Citation Index (РИНЦ), in the European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS) , in the International ISSN center, and is also going to be registered by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media.
