On October 2-4, 2014 in Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk) took place the international conference "The Ecology of Language and Communicative Practice".

Scientists from Russia and Austria took part in work of plenary sessions: R.-F. Ratmayr (Economic University, Vienna, B. Toshovich (Institute of Slavic philology of Grats University of Karl and Franz), A. Skovorodnikov, O. Felde (SFU, Krasnoyarsk), A. Kravchenko (Baikal State University of economy and right, Irkutsk), E. Golovko (Institute of linguistic researches of the Russian Academy of Sciences; The European University in St. Petersburg), G. Kreydlin (Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow), T. Matveeva (Ural Federal University of the first President of Russia B. Yeltsin, Ekaterinburg), N. Boldyrev (Tambov State University of G. Derzhavin), L. Duskayeva (St. Petersburg State University), I. Borisova (Humanities University, Ekaterinburg), V. Annushkin (State Institute of Russian Language of A. Pushkin, Moscow), E. Kara-Murza (Moscow State University).

The conference’s section meetings took place on four subjects: "Language ecology in the literary critics and fiction language", "Communicative practicians of institutional communication", "Ecolinguistics and stylistics of a creative: common ground" and "Cross-cultural and social aspects of communication".

Conference ended with a round table "Problem of the disciplinary status of ecolinguistics", on which associate professors of SFU A. Bernatskaya, G. Kopnina and S. Beletsky became the main speakers.

There are discussion questions of ecolinguistics and also various applied aspects which enter the uniform scientific space united by idea of preservation and development of language were considered on the conference.

The part of the heard reports is published in the network scientific magazine №2 for 2014 "Ecology of Language and Communicative Practice". Other reports will be printed in the next number.
