Media Linguistics XXI century

Faculty of Journalism of Belgorod National Research State University invites to take part in the X-th International scientific conference “Media studies: the XXI Century. Traditional and New Paradigms of Mass Communication Research”. The conference will remark the 10th anniversary of Journalism Faculty of Belgorod National Research University and will take place on the 23-25th of September in Belgorod.

The organizing committee of the conference invites the authors’ contribution in new directions of journalistic and mass communication research, which include media linguistics, media text theory, media psychology, media pedagogy, media esthetics, etc.

The working languages of the conference are Russian and English.

The issue of collected works will be peer reviewed. The publication of works is free of tax. Texts must be submitted till the 1st of July.

Conference sections:

“Communication and discursive media studies: present-day agenda and prospects of research”.

“Media criticism and media pedagogy”.

“Media poetics: theory, contexts, technologies”.

“Media linguistic research: experience and prospects of development”.

“Journalism, advertising and public relations in the era of web communications”.

“The history of local Mass Media in the context of historical development of national journalism”.

The organizing committee invites the initiatives for holding master-classes, round-table discussions and panel discussions in the framework of the conference.

Text layout demands:

Microsoft Word format, Times New Roman font, 14 size, margins – 2 cm, interline spacing – 1 pt, full justification. The topic is in the middle of the page in block letters. The information about the author is two lines below: name, (patronym), last name, university, city, (country), e-mail. Footnotes are paginal, annotation and key-words in Russian and English language.
